Peer Review Policy

The Albahit Journal of Applied Sciences employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process for all submitted manuscripts. This policy ensures impartiality and maintains the high scientific standards of our publications.

Here's how our peer review process works:

  1. Initial Assessment: Upon submission, the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Associate Editor will first assess the manuscript for its suitability within the journal's scope, adherence to submission guidelines, and overall quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these initial criteria may be rejected at this stage without further review.

  2. Assignment to Reviewers: If the manuscript passes the initial assessment, it is then assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers. These reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the specific subject area of the manuscript. To ensure an unbiased review, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential from each other (double-blind review).

  3. Reviewer Evaluation: Reviewers are asked to critically evaluate the manuscript's:

    • Originality and significance: Does the work present new findings or significantly advance existing knowledge?

    • Methodology: Are the methods sound, clearly described, and appropriate for the study?

    • Results: Are the results presented clearly and logically? Are the conclusions supported by the data?

    • Clarity and readability: Is the manuscript well-written, coherent, and easy to understand?

    • Ethical considerations: Are there any ethical concerns regarding the research conduct or reporting?

    • Compliance: Does the manuscript adhere to the journal's guidelines and ethical standards?

  4. Recommendation and Decision: Based on their comprehensive evaluation, reviewers provide a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief. Possible recommendations include:

    • Accept (with no or minor revisions)

    • Revisions Required (major or minor)

    • Reject

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision, taking into account all reviewer comments and recommendations.

  5. Communication to Authors: Authors will receive the editorial decision along with the anonymous comments from the reviewers. If revisions are required, authors are given a specific timeframe to revise their manuscript and provide a point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation.

Our commitment to a thorough peer review process is central to ensuring the credibility, validity, and impact of the research published in the Albahit Journal of Applied Sciences.
